Q: A snow storm is coming and I want to get oil before the storm.
Unfortunately, so would almost everyone else. Thus, on the day before a snowstorm, it becomes extremely difficult to meet the needs of all our Will-Call customers. One way to avoid this is to become an Automatic customer. Doing so means you won’t have to worry about running out of fuel.

Q: Do I have to shovel out the fill pipe and a path in the snow to the fill pipe?
Yes, You want to make sure the fill pipe is clear of snow especially if your fill pipe is low to the ground (or if we get a large snow storm). Also clearing a path in the snow to the fill pipe is extremely helpful. (Especially if your oil fill pipe is far away from the street).

Q: Do you offer service agreements?
Yes, we offer service agreements on all of our oil and gas equipment, based on inspection/qualification of your equipment.

Q: Do you offer a budget plan?
Yes, we offer an 8 month budget plan which can also include your service plan. It is a great way to avoid the peak winter heating bills.

How It Works

Ever wonder how your heating system works? Whether it is an oil furnace system or a hydronic boiler system we’ll tell you everything you need to know about your heating system.

For an Oil Furnace System:

The thermostat (1) sends a signal to the controls (2) on the burner (3). The fuel pump (4) draws oil through a filter (5) to the burner. The burner turns the oil into a fine spray, mixes it with air and ignites it in the combustion chamber (6), causing the chamber to become very hot. Air absorbs heat in the heat exchanger (7). A blower (8) sends this air through ducts (9) to heat the home. The air eventually circulates back to the heat exchanger and the cycle continues. Combustion emissions are vented out the flue (10).

For a Hydronic Boiler System:

The thermostat (1) sends a signal to the controls (2) on the burner (3). The fuel pump (4) draws oil through a filter (5) to the burner. The burner turns the oil into a fine spray, mixes it with air and ignites it in the combustion chamber (6), causing the chamber to get very hot. Water circulates around the combustion chamber. A circulator (7) pumps the heated water through radiators or baseboards to heat the home. An expansion tank (8) adjusts to varying pressures. Eventually, the water returns to the heating unit to begin the cycle again. Combustion emissions are vented out the flue (9).
